Kleines Cafe

The youngest room on this list by half a century, opened in 1970 with an interior by the architect Hermann Czech, whose space-saving solutions turn a very small footprint into somewhere you can spend three hours. The name means little café and it is not a figure of speech. Open until two in the morning every day, with tables out on Franziskanerplatz, and the crowd is local rather than coach-party.
