Café Tirolerhof

Opened in 1918, in the last weeks of the First World War, and the interior has been restored to its 1920s Art Deco state using archival photographs as the reference. It sits behind the State Opera, directly across the square from the Albertina, which makes it the closest thing to a proper coffeehouse in a stretch of the first district otherwise given over to ticket queues. Coffeehouse and restaurant both, so lunch is an option rather than an imposition.
