Café Prückel

First opened in 1903, with a theatre still in the basement, and furnished in the 1950s style it kept: original fittings from that period rather than a stucco-and-chandelier revival. The big windows onto the Stubenring and the large street terrace make it a daylight café, and students from the nearby University of Applied Arts fill it out. Apple strudel is the item people come back for.
