Café Museum

Adolf Loos designed the room in 1899 and the public nicknamed it Café Nihilismus for its stripped-back plainness. Loos drank here himself, alongside Otto Wagner, Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka and Franz Lehár. Refurbished in 2010, it is one of the calmer central coffeehouses and has practically its own exit from Karlsplatz station.
