Casa Ciriaco

It began in 1887 as a wine shop on Calle Mayor and took its present name from Ciriaco Muñoz Sanz, who with his brother Pablo turned it into a restaurant in 1929. Cocido and gallina en pepitoria are the fixtures; the painter Zuloaga and writers including Valle-Inclán and Camba were among the regulars. The building is where the bomb was thrown at Alfonso XIII's wedding procession in 1906. Closed Wednesdays.
