Casa Alberto

Opened in 1827 in the Huertas building where Cervantes wrote the Viaje del Parnaso, and still working from a zinc bar with vermouth on tap. The short list of house dishes runs to callos, rabo de toro and bacalao a la madrileña, under walls hung with bullfighting portraits. Closed Mondays, and Sunday service stops at four.
