Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor

The footbridge between the Musée d'Orsay and the Tuileries opened in 1999 as a single metallic span, replacing crossings of 1861 and 1861's successor of 1961. The first of them was a cast iron bridge inaugurated by Napoleon III and named Passerelle Solférino after the 1859 battle; the current bridge took the name of Senegal's first president in 2006.
