Pont au Change

The name comes from the money changers and goldsmiths whose shops stood on the twelfth-century bridge, between the Conciergerie and the Châtelet fountain. Several bridges have occupied the site; the one standing now was built under Napoleon III in 1860, and the marked crossing over it is a cycle track laid in sett.
