Pont de la Concorde

The arch bridge of 1791 links the Quai d'Orsay on the left bank to the Place de la Concorde, and has been known in turn as the Pont Louis XVI and the Pont de la Révolution. Napoleon placed statues of French generals along it, later replaced with ministers, royal generals and sailors; their weight was too much for the structure and Louis-Philippe I had them moved to Versailles.
