Calumet Beach

The far southeast corner of the city's beach system, at 100th Street and Avenue G, close enough to the Indiana line that most lakefront visitors never reach it. It carries life rings 001 to 004 and a designated swim area, plus a beach house, restrooms and three food concessions. The 95th/Dan Ryan Red Line stop is the usual transit approach, with the last stretch east to the lake done by bike or bus.
