Ohio Street Beach

A small beach, also called Olive Beach, set in a pocket just north of Lake Point Tower that faces north rather than east: the only Chicago beach with that orientation, which puts the skyline behind you and the water sheltered in front. Access is on foot through Jane Addams Memorial Park. It draws smaller crowds than North Avenue or Oak Street a few minutes up the shore, and open water swimmers use it for distance work.
