The gate is just over the rise at the top of Hout Bay, but the vines grow down the Constantia side of the mountain, which is how an organic farm on the wrong road still counts as part of this valley. Certified by the Bio-Dynamic and Organic Certification Authority: fynbos, lupins and grains are left to grow between the rows, and ducks handle the pests. La Colombe is at the top of the winding road, with a boutique hotel and the city's only zipline on the same property.
