The wine farms inside Cape Town's city limits
Map of 10 locations in Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town is one of the few cities where a 300-year-old vineyard sits inside the municipal boundary, on a road served by the same buses as the suburbs. Most of these farms are in the Constantia Valley, on the east-facing slopes below Constantia Nek and the Steenberg mountains, with one more over the ridge above Noordhoek beach. What they share is working vines, a tasting room open to anyone who drives up, and a street address rather than a day trip.
