Buitenverwachting

The name means "beyond expectation", and the land was originally part of Simon van der Stel's Constantia estate before it was split off. Tastings are a separate charge from eating, and the property runs on three levels of formality: the Coffee Bloc for a cup, the tasting area, and the restaurant proper. Ask for the Buiten Blanc, the Chardonnay, the Maximus or the Meifort.
