Groot Constantia
Founded by Simon van der Stel in 1685, which makes it the oldest wine-producing farm in the Cape and the reason the valley exists as a wine region at all. Tastings run across three separate areas, alongside a wine and chocolate pairing, guided cellar tours and the Cape Dutch manor house, now a museum. Two restaurants on site, Simons and Jonkershuis, and pre-packed picnics for the lawns.
