Sant Sebastià

The westernmost of the city beaches, roughly 660 metres of sand at the Barceloneta end of Ciutat Vella, and with Barceloneta the oldest and most established of them. Several of the city's sea-sport clubs sit immediately behind it, which is why the water off this stretch is busy with swimmers and small craft outside bathing hours. It is the beach used for the summer Cinema Lliure a la Platja screenings and the OBC's Music Day concert. Water and sand are sampled weekly from April to September.
