Hyde Park

140 hectares, roughly 350 acres, taken from Westminster Abbey by Henry VIII and opened to the public by Charles II in 1673. It is one of the five Royal Parks in central London and shares a boundary with Kensington Gardens, so the two read as one open space on foot. An interpretation board on site covers the park's wildlife, last verified in May 2025.
