The Israeli settlements the EU counts in East Jerusalem

Footnote 2 of the European Union's six-month report on Israeli settlements, covering January to June 2018, does something most diplomatic language avoids: it names the neighbourhoods. Places that appear on Jerusalem municipal maps as ordinary districts, with bus routes, shopping centres and estate agents' listings, are itemised there as settlements in occupied territory. What follows pairs that footnote with the founding dates and populations recorded in the settlement tables, and with the Palestinian localities whose land each one was built on. The footnote lists twelve. Seven are here; Gilo, Har Homa, Ramot Alon, Ma'alot Dafna and Giv'at HaMivtar are still to be placed.
