A scrambling route from the lower cableway station, quoted at about 3.5 hours, with exposed traverses on narrow paths above sheer drops and short rock walls climbed on metal rungs and chains. It is the least crowded of the popular ascents and the one that most rewards a head for heights, passing directly under the cableway with views across to Lion's Head and Camps Bay. Not a route to attempt in mist, and not one to descend.
