National Scenic Trails of the United States
Map of 5 locations in United States
National Scenic Trails are long-distance routes established by the United States Congress under the National Trails System Act and administered by the National Park Service or the Forest Service. These are five of them, in the order they were opened, from the first pair designated in 1968 to the pair added in 2009. Each line is OpenStreetMap's mapping of the trail as it runs now, rather than the route as first drawn. The set follows the list of National Scenic Trails on English Wikipedia, transcribed by hand; the lines are OpenStreetMap's and the dates and lengths are the cited pages'.
