Maroubra Rock Pools

Constructed in the late 1920s by the Maroubra surf club at the southern end of the beach, built from concrete and small rocks taken from the surrounding platform. The workmanship is coarser than the council-built pools further north, which is the point of coming: this is a surf club job on a wave-swept shelf rather than an engineered lap pool.
