Central Park

Directly adjacent to Uhuru Park and renovated in the same Kenya Defence Forces programme, Central Park came out of roughly five years of closure with a skating rink among its new installations. It holds a memorial to Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first president, which gives the lawns a formal spine the neighbouring park lacks. Like Uhuru Park, it passed to the Nairobi County government on completion and is open for public use.
