Bosque de Chapultepec

686 hectares split into numbered sections, which the World Monuments Fund counts as the largest and oldest urban park in Latin America. The eastern end carries the heaviest concentration of buildings: Chapultepec Castle with the National History Museum inside it, the Museo Rufino Tamayo and the zoo, while the later sections hold more open ground and running routes. The first section borders Polanco and San Miguel Chapultepec, so most visitors arrive on foot from those colonias. A note on the map pin: open map data offered a close but not exact match for this place, so the marker may sit slightly off. If it looks wrong, please flag this entry so it can be checked.
