Parque Masayoshi Ohira

Built in 1942 as a symbol of diplomatic friendship between Mexico and Japan, and described as the largest Japanese garden in the country. Locals call it the Parque de la Pagoda after a structure that burned down; the park fell into ruin twice before a 2015 remodelling, and now has torii gates, an East Asian style bridge and cherry trees. It takes its current name from Masayoshi Ohira, the first Japanese prime minister to visit Mexico.
