Parque Tezozomoc

Inaugurated in 1982 in Azcapotzalco; sources give its area as 17 hectares and as 28. The central artificial lake was dug to reproduce the outline and surrounding relief of Lake Texcoco, and after a major clean-up in 2018 it became the site of an axolotl breeding and conservation programme, with an ajolotario open to visitors. Walking and running paths, picnic ground and reliable birdwatching fill the rest.
