Schloss ob Ellwangen
A hilltop castle of about 1200, fully preserved and rebuilt into a palace in the 18th century, it served the prince-provosts of Ellwangen as their residence from 1460. The state administration notes the arcaded courtyard; the castle museum occupies the building today. It is a state-owned monument, listed under the Weikersheim palace administration of the Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten.
