Kloster Bebenhausen
A Cistercian abbey founded in 1190 and dissolved in 1560, later fitted out as a royal hunting lodge for Württemberg; the Edict of Restitution of 1629 let Catholic monks move back in. Monastery and palace are state property with their own administration inside the Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten, which also covers Urach, Kirchheim, the Domnick collection at Nürtingen and Hohenneuffen. Admission is charged; the ticket area is at ground level and step-free access to the museum and church is opened on request, with ramps in the main rooms.
