Schloss Kirchheim (Teck)
A Renaissance palace built under Duke Ulrich and a well-preserved state fortress of the duchy of Württemberg, it housed the duchy's widowed duchesses for long stretches: Magdalena Sibylla lived here from 1694 to 1712 and paid for the elaborate fittings of the chapel. It is state property administered through Bebenhausen within the Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten, now run as a museum with admission charged, and it opens only in the summer half of the year.
