Heidelberg Palace
The state administration groups this with Mannheim and Schwetzingen as the three residences of the Electoral Palatinate and names it first of them, putting attendance at around a million visitors a year. Its own regional pages describe the site as a ruin rather than a restored palace, and credit it with the Romantic reputation of the town below.
