Canal Saint-Martin

The stone-skipping scene is set on these quays, and the canal is the one place outside Montmartre the character is given as her own ground. It runs through the 10th, and the early morning is when the towpath most resembles the shot: the lock basins are quiet before the terraces fill. The pin here sits at the canal-side bus stop of the same name, served by route 46.
