Praia do Flamengo

Just over 1.7 kilometres of bay beach, fronting the park built on land reclaimed from Guanabara Bay. Few hotels sit close by, so it's mostly a residents' beach. The water isn't recommended for swimming, so the reason to come is the shoreline path: a 7.6 km out-and-back run starts at the Museum of Modern Art.
