West Green Lake Beach

The longest guarded season the city runs, May 23 to September 7, and the only one of the pair on Green Lake open for swimming: the east beach is closed to swimmers. Two fixed platforms hold a 50 yard lap lane, with 1 metre and 3 metre boards, which makes it the practical choice for anyone swimming distance rather than paddling. Concrete steps lead down to the water, and the 2.8 mile loop path passes the entrance.
