Madrona

Guarded from May 23, five weeks before most of the Lake Washington beaches open, but closing on August 23 rather than running into September. Two fixed platforms hold the swimming area rather than a floating dock, with a single 1 metre board that Parks notes is usually taken down before the season ends when water depth drops. A wooded slope runs down to the grass above the beach, and the parking is limited.
