Real Companhia Velha

The oldest Port company in Portugal, created in 1756 by royal charter of King José I to regulate the trade. The tasting room is furnished in benches and tables cut from the same wood as the ageing vessels, with historical graphics running along the walls. It stands two kilometres back from the quayside, so reaching it means the metro to General Torres and a ten-minute walk.
