Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club

Two Opens, in 1909 and 1920, and no realistic prospect of a third: the access roads and space around the Deal links rule out a modern championship build. The club stays in the machinery of the event as a Final Open Qualifying venue, so the course is still measured against Open standards each year. It sits a few miles up the coast from Royal St George's, on the same run of shingle and dune.
