Prestwick Golf Club

The first twelve Opens, from 1860 to 1870, were played here and nowhere else, and twenty-four in total before the championship left for good in 1925. When rotation began, Prestwick shared it with only St Andrews and Musselburgh. The course today plays eighteen holes at par 71 and remains private.
