Musselburgh Links

Golf is thought to have been played on this ground since 1672, which makes it the oldest of the Open venues by some margin, and six championships were held here between 1874 and 1889. The course measures 2,968 yards at par 34, with Willie Park Jnr's 155 recorded as the mark. It survives as a public course, run as The Old Golf Course, inside a racecourse.
