Almost every pool a Glaswegian can walk into is run by Glasgow Life on the council's behalf, which means the opening hours move with the budget: £500,000 allocated in early 2025 bought roughly ten extra hours a week at five of them, and Saturday swimming came back to several in November and December that year. The same programme has pulled venues offline for months at a time for capital work, Tollcross and Springburn included.
