Chikurachki, 1986
Chikurachki produces two principal styles of eruption: frequent mildly explosive strombolian activity, recorded in years such as 1958, 1961, 1964 and 1973, and far more violent sub-plinian explosive eruptions, of which 1853 and 1986 are the recorded examples. Many of the volcano's eruptions are accompanied by lava flows.
