Ernie's

Scottie first sees Madeleine across the red dining room at Ernie's, which was a real restaurant at this Jackson Square address and, unusually for a location Hitchcock liked, was rebuilt on a studio soundstage rather than shot in place. He knew the room well enough to have it copied. The restaurant closed in the mid-1990s, so the address is all that is left to stand in front of.
