Claude Lane

The film cheats its geography here. Madeleine turns off Grant Avenue into a passage that is now gated, but the alley Scottie actually walks down is Claude Lane, running north from Sutter just west of Kearny. The doorway that supposedly led into the back of the flower shop was bricked up along with two others, and the outlines and brick arches are still legible on the east wall beneath the mural.
