Markkleeberger See
OpenStreetMap still carries the old name under the water, Tagebau Espenhain, with the surface at 113 metres. Flooding ended in 2006 at 252 hectares and the register notes the water-sports and leisure centre as partly still under construction. The Kanupark Markkleeberg whitewater course was built on the shore, and the asphalt ring round the lake connects onward to the neighbouring one.
