Kingston Bridge
A stone arch road bridge opened on 17 July 1828 and a toll bridge until March 1870, widened twice since completion. A crossing here was the only one between London Bridge and Staines until the beginning of the 18th century, when proposals for bridges at Lambeth and Putney were defeated by the Company of Watermen. The Thames Path crosses the river on this bridge, and the deck now carries five lanes including a bus lane.
