Recreio dos Bandeirantes

About a kilometre of sand starting at the large rock that marks the end of Barra. The rock shelters the water for swimming. Don't try to swim around it, because it is much bigger than it looks from shore. The beach is deserted on weekdays and fills at weekends, since several bus routes from the north zone end here.
