Mount Davidson

At 938 feet this is the highest ground in San Francisco, west of Glen Park in the southern half of the city. The summit is tree-covered, which costs it some of the panorama: guided-hiking operators rate the outlook here as slightly more restricted than the one from Bernal Hill, despite the extra 500 feet. Prominence of 193 metres makes it a genuine hill rather than a bump on a ridge.
