Štefánik Bridge

The reinforced concrete bridge opened in 1951, 263m long and 24.4m wide, on the line of the Franz Joseph suspension bridge of 1868, once the largest cast iron structure in Prague, which was dismantled in 1946-47. It has carried three names: Leoš Janáček during the German occupation, Švermův most under the communist regime, and since then Štefánik, after the soldier and astronomer Milan Rastislav Štefánik. It links Revoluční street with the Letná tunnel.
