Jirásek Bridge

Construction began in 1929 and the reinforced concrete bridge was completed in 1933, 310m long and 21m wide, named after the writer Alois Jirásek. It was the sixth crossing of the Vltava in Prague, built because Palacký Bridge alone could no longer serve the growing Smíchov district. The deck gives the standard view of the Dancing House on the New Town bank.
