Hlavka Bridge

Prague's first reinforced concrete bridge, built in stages: an iron span from Karlín to Štvanice island in 1908-1910, then the section from the island to Holešovice by 1912. It is named after Josef Hlávka, the architect who designed it, and unusually among Prague bridges it has never been renamed. Medallions above the arches on the river side carry the faces of former Prague mayors.
