The City Arms
Probably late 18th century and listed in October 1974, on a Kennedy Street terrace where the Vine Inn next door was listed on the same day. The inventory entry rests on the back room, which keeps its dark panelling and heavy fixed furniture rather than any grand scheme. CAMRA rates the interior as of special national historic interest rather than outstanding, which is the honest reading: one good room in an otherwise worked-over pub.
