Circus Tavern

Originally a house in a listed terrace, which is why the pub still works at domestic scale: two small rooms and a bar counter so short the place bills itself as the smallest in Europe. Listed in 1994 and wedged between two takeaways on Portland Street, with no outdoor seating and nothing sold to take away. Cask beer only, poured in a room that will not absorb a crowd.
